persons. The main economic base of the township is with Mining, Tourism.
Region of Alice Springs has the oldest Geography in the world and therefore
few believe that this region as God's country. For many thousands of years
Alice Springs region has been a home for Aboriginal people of the Central
Desert where they continued to live for over 60,000 years. The culture and
the history is now slowly beginning to emerge through Art and tourism and
more and more visitors to Central Australia are now beginning to express
interest in gaining an insight to this fascinating culture which is still
continuing.
